Getting to Paris Nanterre University

We recommend using public transportation to reach the university campus.

By RER A (approximately 15 minutes from Châtelet station, in central Paris)

  • Direction of Saint-Germain en Laye or Le Vésinet – Le Pecq
  • Get off at Nanterre Université station

 

By Train Line L (approximately 20 minutes from Saint Lazare Station)

  • Direction of Cergy le Haut or Nanterre Université
  • Get off at Nanterre-Université station

Getting to Central Paris

From an airport

ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE

  • Roissybus
    • From 6 am to 11 pm, every 15 to 20 minutes.

    • From all terminals to: Opéra (rue Scribe, metro Opéra or RER A station Auber)

    • Ticket price: approximately 12 EUR

  • RER B
    • Departure from RER B every day every 4 to 15 minutes

    • To : Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Luxembourg, Port-Royal, Denfert-Rochereau, Cité universitaire...

    • Ticket price: about 10 EUR

  • Taxi
    • A fixed fare has been set up to reach Paris (only in Taxis, not Uber cars)

    • Paris Rive Droite = 53 EUR

    • Paris Left Bank = 58 EUR

ORLY

  • Metro line 14 
    • Very fast, a train every 2 minutes

    • To: Maison Blanche, Olympiades, Bibliothèque, Bercy, Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, Saint Lazare...

    • Metro special fare: 10.30 EUR

  • ORLY BUS
    • Every day, every 8 to 15 minutes (often crowded!)

    • To: Place Denfert-Rochereau (metro/RER Denfert-Rochereau)

      • South terminal, exit L, stop 3
      • Terminal West, exit D, stop 5 (arrivals level)
    • Ticket price: approximately 8 EUR

  • ORLYVAL + RER B
    • Departure from Orlyval every 7 minutes to Antony RER station

    • From Antony (same station) to Paris, departure from RER B every 15 minutes

    • To Cité universitaire, Denfert-Rochereau, Port-Royal, Luxembourg, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Châtelet-Les Halles (RER A), Gare du Nord...

    • The special Orlyval + RER B ticket costs about 12 EUR

  • TAXI
    • A fixed fare has been set up to reach Paris (only in Taxis, not Uber cars)
    • Paris Right Bank = 32 EUR
    • Paris Left Bank = 37 EUR

BEAUVAIS AIRPORT

  • Shuttle BusTaxis/Uber: Beware, Beauvais airport is far from Paris, there is no fixed rate for taxis, the cost would be 170 EUR minimum.
    • From Beauvais airport : departure 20 minutes after the arrival of each flight.

    • Departure point: airport bus station between terminals 1 and 2.

    • Arrival point: Paris-Porte Maillot (boulevard Pershing, metro/RER Porte Maillot)

    • Estimated journey time: 1h15.

    • Fare: 16.90 EUR online, 18 EUR at the station/airport
